Everything you might want to know before your first class.
Is Pilates suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. We offer classes for all levels, and your instructor will guide you with adjustments and alternatives so it always meets you where you are. Many people start with us having never touched a reformer.
What should I wear to a class?
Comfortable, stretchy clothes you can move freely in. Grippy Pilates socks are nice for reformer and mat classes but totally optional.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself and some water. You're welcome to bring your own mat for yoga and mat classes — and don't sweat it if you forget, we have extras.
How often should I take classes?
For the best results we recommend 2–3 times a week — that's the sweet spot for building strength and flexibility over time. That said, any movement is great movement, so start where you can.
What's the difference between the reformer and mat classes?
Mat Pilates uses your own body weight, while the reformer adds spring resistance for support and challenge. Our semi-private reformer (QUADS) caps at four people for real, hands-on attention. Both build strength, flexibility, and control — many members love mixing the two.
